A door which is seldom used can be closed. An almirah can be shifted to close it totally and the space vacated by shifting the almirah can be put to some other use. Many such ideas can give a feeling of change. AS we are accustomed of old looks, some small changes can make us feel better.
Some bright pillows can also complement the room. These pillows of different shapes if arranged properly in a room, can provide an extra lift to our furniture. Interesting accents in the corners of the room or on the mantle can also be placed.
A few things like candles, hand carved pipes on a stand and such unique materials as musical instruments from various countries are not used and they can be placed in such parts of the room which usually catch the attention of a visitor.
A few eccentric pieces of furniture of good texture and colour generally lift the quality of a room. Even old furniture of sixties and seventies can work the same and will turn into a functional conversation piece for family members or visitors. Some visitors come with urgent work do not require to be called into the drawing room. They could be attended in a small visitors’ room for a brief conversation.
Home decorating is nothing but to make a home as comfortable and luxurious as possible within your budget. Everyone has different tastes and likes to make the home a beautiful one.
